A Field Guide to Designer Scissor Brands
Ichiro, Juntetsu, Jaguar, Global, Kamisori, Keiun and more — a quick, honest tour of the brands behind our rose gold and designer range, and who each one suits.
Brand names come and go, and most of the marketing sounds the same. Here’s a plain tour of the makers behind our designer range, and where each tends to fit.
The rose-gold specialists
Ichiro is our deepest range — rose gold, pink, pastel and rainbow finishes on 440C, from first pairs to master sets, with proper left-handed builds. Global and Mina are similar value territory: lots of colour, honest steel, sensible prices.
The steel step-up
Juntetsu brings VG-10 cobalt to the rose gold look — a clear edge-retention upgrade. Keiun is the forged-Damascus name in our range, where the pattern is the steel itself. Kamisori sits at the premium, statement end.
The European houses
Jaguar (German) is all about ergonomics and clever touches — micro-serrated edges, crane handles, SMART CLICK tension — finished in soft pastels. Tondeo brings Solingen Damascus and offset comfort. Artero rounds out the warm-metallic options.
How to read any brand
Ignore the heritage story and check three things: the named steel and hardness, a real adjustable tension screw, and an even, bonded finish. Everything we stock passes that test — it’s the same one in our authenticity checklist. Browse them all on the brands page.
