Kissaki built the Futasuji on SUS440C, a steel that takes a keen edge and forgives a busy salon day, then dressed it in rose gold. The offset handle sets the thumb low for a relaxed cutting position, and the finish is a hard surface that sits flush with the blade rather than coating the cutting line. The rose gold is even and well-applied, and the offset keeps the wrist in a natural line. The fair caveat is that 440C sits a step below cobalt steels on edge retention, so it wants a competent sharpener on schedule rather than neglect. Looked after, it punches above the asking price.”
