A high tooth count like this removes only a little hair per pass, which is exactly what you want for gentle finishing and seamless weight-line work. Jaguar makes it in Germany on SOLINOX58 stainless at 58 HRC, with a SMART CLICK adjustment screw and a coloured coating over the steel. At 5.5” with an offset handle, it is an easy, precise detailing thinner.

“This is a finisher, and at 40 teeth it shines on subtle blending and softening hard lines where you want control over how little you take. The German SOLINOX58 steel and SMART CLICK tension make it precise and easy to live with, and the colour is a nice touch. The thing to be clear on is that a 40-tooth blade is the wrong tool for removing real bulk; for that you want a lower tooth count. As a dedicated texturiser, it does its one job very well.”
